About This Wine

Crushed into open fermenters, matured in French oak for 12 months. This is an extremely expressive Pinot with aromas of spiced red berries and red flowers. The palate is seriously good, its length and balance opening the way for dark fruits, earthy spices and a surge of plummy fruit on the finish and aftertaste. Pair with Peking duck for an sumptuous feast.

About: Terra Felix Wines

Terra Felix was launched in 2001 at the Tallarook Vineyard, Central Victoria, with a very specific goal in mind. The growing conditions at Tallarook had proved to be astonishingly similar to those in the Northern Rhone, France; steep granite slopes and alluvial valley floors, continental climate and sun exposure and comparable rainfall. These similarities meant that Terra Felix first began with the aim of replicating wine types from the celebrated Rhone region. The name 'Terra Felix', Latin for 'Lucky Country', was chosen as a reflection of this ambition. However, after being bought out by Peter Simon, Stan Olszewski and John Nicholson in 2005, the drive of Terra Felix has grown from replicating another region to making the very most of the versatile and changing environment they actually possess right here in Australia. New management has led to many years of exciting wines coming from Terra Felix as more and more varietals are added to their resume including Mourvedre Rose, Viognier, Moscato Gold , Sagrantino, Pinot Gris, and Prosecco.
