About: Trevelen Farm Wines

The very first of the Trevelen Farm vines were established in 1993 as an extension of already existing 3160 acre farming operations and, from the very first, received critical acclaim. The Trevelen Farm estate was, and remains, the most northerly vineyard in the Great Southern Wine Region. With the perfect climate and exactly the right kind of well-drained soil for growing vines, the area also has the advantage of being rarely affected by the coastal summer rains. This means that the Trevelen family is able to limit their spraying to only environmentally friendly practices (wettable sulphur, for example). Trevelen's medal success has continued from conception under the careful eye of winemaker James Kellie, part of the Trevelen outfit since 2004, and maintains a large international presence including in China, Japan, Macau and Hong Kong.
